Challenge is necessary. Struggle is not. Many people believe that challenge and struggle are synonymous. Your challenges need not be painful.
Once you see that all of life is conspiring on your behalf, and that even your challenges are just blessings in disguise, you will approach each day with freshness, vitality and hope.
Do you realize how boring life would be without challenges? A life without challenge would lead to gluttony and laziness. Your challenges are special gifts, chosen just for you, to hone you, shape you, and mold you into the person you need to be to accomplish what you came to this earth to accomplish.
Accomplishment in this sense is not to be confused with doing. Accomplishment has more to do with character than achievement.
When you embrace challenges rather than simply enduring them, you will begin to actually enjoy the game. In each and every case, the strategy to winning the game is the same: choose love. Ask yourself, “What does love look like in this moment?” Then transmute every challenge from discomfort to love. In time, layer upon layer of challenges will be purified and refined, encasing your heart in love.
Through your challenges, your heart is forged in the fire of grace, where all fear, pain, anger and guilt are transmuted to love. This is the path of honor, the path of the true leader.
In following the path of honor, your own individual needs become subservient to love. In service to others, honor burns brightly in your heart, and the weight of personal challenges dissolves like mist in the morning sun.
