This world is so amazingly beautiful, don’t you think? From the intricate crystalline structure in a tiny grain of sand to the awe-inspiring majesty of a snow-capped mountain, the beauty inherent in all things – great and small – is enough to overwhelm the senses, bringing tears of joy and wonder to your heart.
In this vey moment, planets are hurtling through the heavens, new stars are being born, the cosmos itself is expanding at a mind-bending speed. At the same time, inner consciousness is expanding at a magnitude that boggles the imagination. And amidst it all, in the vast expansive explosion of light, speed and color… right in the middle of it all… there is silence. There is stillness. There is pure tranquility and peace.
The silence is not empty. It is alive with energy. Time and space fold in upon themselves, condensing in the perfect moment of the present – the “now” – where all dreams are born, all past sins are erased, all pain, disillusionment, loneliness, and discomfort are forgotten. In this “now”, babies are born. Animals are foraging for food. Plants are breaking through the surface of the earth reaching towards the sun. Aquatic creatures in an unimaginable array of shapes, sizes, and colors swim in the oceans. Grubs, worms, and beetles burrow in cool, loamy soil. Birds soar above the canopy of the rain forest. Even in the silent sands of the desert, life abounds.
Yet none of these miracles is as profound as the priceless joy, struggle, triumph and tribulation of humankind as you seek to know the unknowable; as you reach out with your hands, stretching with all your might to touch the very face of God.
