You are being called to prayer. You are being called to devotion. Spirit longs for a connection with you. Go deep. This is the time to allow your heart to fully open to the One who has been calling. Now is the time to seek shelter from the storm.
Even joy brings a sense of chaos: a frenetic energy that can cause you to feel out of control. Prayer calms the waters, restoring tranquility and balance. Build moments of stillness into your day, even if it means rising earlier in the morning to allow for time of meditation and prayer. Cultivate the daily practice of stillness, and it will feed and nourish your soul all day long.
Breathe. Inhale. Draw life-giving energy deep into your body. Feel tension release as the air is exhaled from your lungs. Create a habit of drawing intentional breath.
Look into the eyes of those around you, and offer a reassuring smile. The smile you receive in return is a gift of love from the Creator.
Through the simple practices of prayer, breath and smiling, tranquility will calm your spirit, and peace will be restored in your heart.
