As counterintuitive as it sounds, your power lies in your ability to consistently, willingly and easily release control.
Relax into the space between and turn your body and mind over to your soul’s perspective. Release attachments to the arbitrary life circumstances that form the foundation of your social validation. Achievements, beauty, athleticism, social standing; all of these are not a solid foundation for your place of power. They are like shifting sand, easily lost when life’s river surges or changes course.
If your life’s achievements are the sand along the river’s edge, your soul is the water. Sand is vulnerable. Water is where your true power lies.
Forgiveness. Compassion. Love. Intimacy. These are the components that make up the water. These are the characteristics that will show up in your life when you choose to embody your soul. Releasing control – letting go of the ego-mind’s attachment to validation in the form of achievement, beauty and success – frees you to step into the river’s power to create something so much greater, so much more permanent than that which is built on sand. This is the water that shapes not only your life, but the lives of thousands.
Release control. Be brave enough to leave the sand. When you surrender to the river’s flow, your life will unfold in miraculous ways you could never even begin to imagine.
