After a transformative week in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, we will be acclimatized to the altitude, preparing us for an unforgettable Andean experience: the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu.
Cusco Your last day in Cusco will include a trip to the San Pedro market followed by a traditional Peruvian lunch at the Andean Grill and dinner at Misteri overlooking the Plaza de Armas.
During our two days in Cusco, we will visit the Incan archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman, take a city bus tour and visit the San Pedro market.
Cusco After driving from Ollantaytambo to Cusco, you will spend the afternoon horseback riding through Incan ruins just outside Cusco or learning to make chocolate at a cacao workshop.
Pisac, Sacred Valley Following optional morning meditation and a hearty Peruvian breakfast, you will have the morning to peruse Pisac’s delightful artisan market. In the afternoon, grab your hiking poles and lace up your hiking shoes as you enjoy sweeping views of the Sacred Valley from Pisac’s mountaintop archaeological site.
